In the following we would like to give you further hints, in case you want to use your CHAT’N SOUND without a headset for chatting. These tips are constantly updated to reflect changes made to the PlayStation 4 system by Sony’s firmware updates.

In the PlayStation 4 main menu:
- Go to Settings
- Devices
- Audio Devices
- Output Device
- Here is the preference „Headset connected to controller“
- change it to the „TV or AV Amplifier“ option
Voila! That’s it! You may like to change the microphone sensitivity if necessary, a menu item below.
From now on you will not need a headset to chat anymore. Your voice will be transmitted to your players via the built-in microphone, which you will hear through your TV or AV amplifier speakers. Never again hot ears!
